We have three different types of fox-resistant housing for your chickens - all made by Omlet. These are all listed below and you can either decide yourself which type of accomodation you would like your birds to stay in (*providing numbers meet minimum recommendations), or allow us to make the decision for you based on the size and quantity of your poultry.

Regardless of choice, your chickens will have access to an omlet unit as well as a semi-covered run which is situated on grass. Our coops are spaced out to reduce stress on our feathery guests and after each stay, we keep the units unoccupied for 2 weeks. New guests can expect a thourough cleaning before they arrive, plus nesting boxes will be fluffed and lightly cleaned daily with a full-coop clean each week for longer staying guests.

Unless otherwise requested, during the warmer seasons, we use wood shavings in the next boxes and switch to hay for the colder months.

Water is replaced daily, along with a choice of pellets or mash and unless you prefer us not to, we like to give our guests a few treats in the afternoons such as veg grown in our gardens plus a few home-bred live mealworms.

All our birds are safely tucked away and shut in their coops at night and they are kept on site where we live - allowing us to keep a close eye on them. We also have security cameras that are triggered by movement after dark.

If you can leave a container when you leave your chickens with us, we will be very happy to save and return your eggs.
